Week Two: PEACE
Sunday, December 6 – Saturday, December 12, 2015
“Asalaamualaikum wa rathmatullah wa baraktuhu” “Peace be to all who enter here.”
This time of year, it is easy to be overwhelmed with excitement and expectations as we connect in celebration with friends and families. For some, the overwhelm of loss and grief and isolation. Stress is very much a part of the experience. Peace, the very essence of this season, seems to escape us.
How do we cope? How do we find peace when we are stressed & overwhelmed? Observing daily “quiet time,” is one way. Spending time in prayer & meditation brings a balance and harmony to the energies we experience through this season. Spending a few minutes several times a day, inviting the true meaning of Christmas—hope, peace, joy and love—to enter our heart and mind, to create within us a reservoir of peace that will influence our experience.
Be compassionate with yourself and do your best to extend that compassion and grace to everyone around you. Take this energy of peace out into the world—find a way to be of service to someone else & become the demonstration of peace.
This week, invite peace to prevail in your heart and home—let peace shine so brightly in you that it inspires and illumines others.
